“It’s time,” he whispers.
“For what?” She asks.

She always pretends to have no idea what he means. Whatever he says, she has no idea what he is getting at. It annoys him. Of course it does, how could it not? He knows, just as good as she does, that she always knows what he means. Sometimes she knows better what he means than he does. She just wants to test his limits. To see if he can stand it. To see if he really loves her or if he gives up on her right away. She doesn’t need to be insecure about his love for her. He loves her. He will not give up. In fact, he knows exactly what she is doing. He understands her as good as she understands him. So he just smiles and says: “It’s time to leave, if we don’t want to be late.”
